Camfrog Video Chat is a free video chat client that allows you to communicate with friends by using the webcam. Anytime you can chat via instant messaging, video calls or transfer files. Its multiple chat rooms and multi-user chat capabilities make it comparable to WhatsApp.
Key Features and Benefits
Simple Install
The installation process of this program doesn’t take long. Simply double-click on your Camfrog installer. It automatically installs completely.
Simple Setup
While starting Camfrog Video Chat you will have to create a profile. You can do that by clicking on Register New.
When you are signed in on the main window you have Contacts and Favorite Rooms. In Contacts you are able to join the Main Camfrog Room, choose from various Video Chat Rooms and look for Camfrog Users.
No Need Webcam
When clicking on the first section basically you are redirected to the program’s main chatting place. If you just want to chat there is no need to have a webcam. Just type what you want to say in the message box.
Instant Chat
At the bottom of the main window you have four quick access menus: Notification List, Video Chat Rooms, Search for Users and Send an instant message.
Video Chat Room
There are available numerous video chat rooms. You have Camfrog chatting places, chatting locations that are dedicated to deaf people and general chat rooms.
What I like a lot is that you can choose from chat rooms which are located in various regions of the world. Such as Latin America, North America, Africa and United Kingdom or the Middle East, Asia, China, Europe and Russia etc.
Favourite Chat Room
If you want to bookmark a certain chat room all that you have to do is to press Add and the chatting location will be displayed in the Favorite Rooms.
Personal Chat Room
In the Video Chat Rooms section, you are also given the opportunity to create your own chat room.
Online Activities
Right near the top of the main window, you can choose to change your status in “Online, Away, Busy, Invisible and Privacy”.
Customization
Entering the Camfrog general options, which are located in the top left corner of the main window, you are able to operate various changes.
You can change the look of the application by selecting from the available skins, changing the language, making various settings to your webcam, connecting to a video chat room etc.
In this category, you also have available a settings section. Here you can operate modifications to Video & Audio, Privacy, Sound, Confirmations, Chat and Instant Messaging etc.
Friendly Interface
I have to say that the main interface of the program looks good. On top of that navigating through the menus is very easy.
Camfrog Video Chat is certainly a decent program. It has a good-looking interface, there are offered a wide variety of chat rooms and it’s easy to use.
