Notepad++ is a completely free programming tool for PCs. It helps to create source code for publishing some useful software and develop any web design. It is a free and open-source application developed under GPL license (General Public License). It runs on all versions of Windows.

Auto Detection: Another cool feature of Notepad plus plus is its File Status Auto-detection capability. If there are any changes made by another program on a file that you are currently working on. Also, if the file is removed you can choose to delete it from the program. This feature will provide you with a notification.

Macro Recording and Playback: The Macro recording and playback feature is suitable for computer users who perform the same task regularly. Record the task as a macro and run it whenever you need to do it again.

Split View: It enables the user to open two or more files using one window. It also has a split view feature, which will be perfect for opening multiple files for comparison.

Zooming: Notepad++ 2024 also has this cool Zoom-In feature. It helps when the user is editing the file but does not want to enlarge the font size of the content.

Syntax Highlighting: The application offers syntax highlighting which I found very useful when coding. You can also change the colors manually to fit your needs. All these are essential for programmers and web developers.

How to install Notepad++

1. First, download the latest version of the software.
2. Click on this executable file which you downloaded now.
3. Here you will see agree to User Account Control.  Just click on Yes.
4. It provides a window which asks your language. So select your language and click on Next.
5. You can see the popup setup window and press Next.
6. There was a License Agreement, you can read it and click I Agree.
7. There was a destination folder where you saved this file. Just click on Next to continue.
8. It provides Choose Features Components. Press Next.
9. Just click on Install.

Now your Notepad++ latest version is installed. You start your coding life and enjoy.
